So close to my 5k. I’m so excited, I just hope I can sleep tonight!
As I predicted I stopped and got ice cream on my walk to Trader Joe’s:
It’s a conscientious chip from Blue Marble. I really think they might have the best ice cream ever. And their sizes are great. That’s a small mini marble so it’s the smallest you can get. It’s about half the size of a regular small and I think it’s the perfect portion size. Plus all their cups and spoons, etc. are biodegradeable!
I ended up getting quite a lot from TJ’s:
I spent $34 and got a bunch of staples. The thing that really killed me was the Emergen-C which was $8, but after drinking my roommate’s I really felt better so I thought I’d give it a try.
After Trader Joe’s I walked almost a mile to Calexico, this amazing California Mexican food place to get dinner. I debated walking home, but I still had another 1.67 miles to go with my bag that weight almost 15lbs!
So I took the subway:
When I got home I ended up running out again to get parmigiana cheese and cheddar cheese and then came back and did my Bikini Ready Fast! DVD. I felt kind of tight and gross all day and I figured the stretching and movement would help and it did!
I had a bit of watermelon as a snack:
And then had dinner:
So that’s half the burrito I got from Calexico, the thing was HUGE! I’ll eat the other half tomorrow, it’s just rice, beans, chicken, cheese, and pico de gallo so it should stay fine. And then green beans, the “crack” sauce for my burrito, and a Fizzy Lizzy pomegrante soda. I love Fizzy Lizzy sodas, they’re the best.
Then I had some Emergen-C:
And later some watermelon:
Then I made some pesto:
All of that turned into:
little hearts! We have these ice cube trays that we never use so I’m freezing the pesto in them and then I’ll take them out, put them in a bag, and defrost each individual serving as I need. There are 14 servings right there, plus:
I still have more pesto to put in the tray once I get the current ones out.
Finally I had a vanilla chip ice and relaxed for the night.
Now I’m going to bed so I can wake up early and run! I’ve set my alarm clock for 5:45, my phone alarm for 6:05 (when I’ll actually get up), I’ll take a shower, eat something, stretch, my friend is coming at 7:05, we’ll walk to the subway, and hopefully be at the registration by 7:45 (it ends at 8:15). And then 8:30 is the race! I AM SO EXCITED!
